This past Saturday September 15, the Valpo Surf Project hosted its 4th Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser in New York City, with more than 65 people in attendance. Held on the rooftop terrace of the Associated Press offices, the event brought together long time supporters in the NYC area and engaged new donors who came to learn more about the VSP mission.
The evening was a great opportunity to celebrate and sustain the work of the Valpo Surf Project and the event’s success was possible only through the active support of so many people. We would like to thank everyone who came out to attend the event, Pat Flaherty and everyone at the Associated Press for allowing us to use their space, Kona Brewing Company and Ketel One Vodka for the beverages, Ann Marie Steuber for catering excellent food, Brainstorm Print and Design for crafting the event poster, and Lindsay Steuber for coordinating much of the silent auction donations, and all the volunteers who helped set up and break down the event.
We’d also like to thank all of the contributors to our silent auction Malwitz Custom Surfboards, Thomas Campbell, Chris Burkard, Ryan Struck, Kassia Meador, Joe Hodnicki of Sharing the Stoke, Chronicle Books, Brainstorm Print and Design, Matt Caputo, Eclectic Current Custom Kicks, Soul Polish Yoga, and Ann Marie Steuber.
